The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that the rights for Unremembered by Jessica Brody has been acquired by Reliance Entertainment.
Unremembered is the first in book in the YA trilogy.

In a world where time travel and gene manipulation exist, Unremembered follows a 16-year-old girl who finds herself floating in the Pacific Ocean, following a plane crash, with no memory of her past. As speculation about her identity spreads, she is forced to piece together her forgotten history with only one clue to her identity — a boy named Zen who claims he helped her escape from a top-secret science experiment conducted by a corporation called Diotech.
Brody’s book, published by Farrar, Straus & Giroux Books for Young Readers, an imprint of the Macmillan Children’s Publishing Group, hit stores in March 2013. The second book in the series, Unforgotten, was released in stores in February 2014, and the third and final book in the trilogy will debut in February 2015.
Deepak Nayar (Vampire Academy, Paranoia, Bend it Like Beckham) and Tabrez Noorani (Zero Dark Thirty, Life of Pi,Slumdog Millionaire) of Tamasha Talkies and SoumyaSundaresh of Citrusmuse are attached to produce.
“The premise of the story was very compelling with a strong central female character,” says Noorani. “The book itself is action packed and well balanced to appeal to a universal audience.”
